iSaloni Shanghai 2018 is happening right now and it’s amazing, the Italian furniture design event started yesterday on the city of Shanghai, and the opening party was a blast. this is the last Salone del Mobile of the year, and as always it elevates furniture design like no other tradeshow.
As we have already discussed here, the event is hosting several talks and masterclasses about design and craftsmanship with big names of Italian and Chinese architects, beyond the already praised tradeshow that showcases several brands from all around the world with exclusive high-end design. Being on it’s third edition in Shanghai, the Salone del mobile is a promise to grow and make luxury high-end craftsmanship furniture bigger every day in the world.
But one thing that stand out on this year edition is the 39 new talents, selected from the top design and universities in the People’s Republic of China that will be presenting products that are a balance of heritage and the contemporary with new technologies and craftsmanship, these young talents will will wright the future of design, with beautiful projects.
Salone del Mobile Shanghai is Happening at Shanghai Exhibition Center and is expecting to receive more than 20.000 visitors this year, a number beyond the last edition. so if you are a designer, design enthusiast, furniture lover, this is one event for you.
