Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit Day 1 – As you all already know, today begins the first edition of the Luxury Design & Craftsmanship event! With its arrival, our hopes is that it will provide you with one of the best experiences the design world can give you, with the plus side of being in an amazing city!
So here’s what you can expect from the first day of this amazing event!
First of all, it will start with a live showcase – Artisans on Set, where you can actually see artisans working on set right in front of you. With that being said, you will be able to emerge into the reality of luxury brands manufacturing daily work.
The showcase will be followed by an opening session in which Amândio Pereira, Founder & CEO Covet Group, Mrs. Prof. Doctor Ana Teresa Lehmann – Secretary of State for Industry and Dr. Marco Martins, Mayor of Gondomar will all be part of and will be welcoming you to the summit.
Right after the opening session is over, the first panel, which goes by the name of The Value of Craftsmanship For The Luxury World, takes place. This panel will talk about the meaning of exclusivity and authenticity and about the real value of master artisans and manual techniques, Amândio Pereira will be the moderator for this panel.
The speakers for today’s panel will be Nicole Segundo, Network Developer for Portugal, Michelangelo Foundation, Fátima Santos, General Secretary, AORP Associação de Ourivesaria e Relojoaria Portuguesa, Luís Onofre, Designer & President of APICAPPS (Associação Portuguesa Ind. Calçado, Componentes, Artigos Pele e seus Sucedâneos) and António Moura, Business Developer in Luxury Field.
At the end of the day the event closes with another showcase and a Porto wine tasting.
