There is a lot that can be talked about design events, they all happen everywhere in the world, and the best thing about that is that every design event have it’s own agenda or their own concept of design that they want to put in to evidence. So here are the top design events until the end of the year that surely will elevate design and craftsmanship.
Biennale Interieur – 18/10 to 22/10
The Biennale Interieur event that takes place at Kortrijk, Belgium, is a non-profit organisation acting in the field of design, product development and innovation. With an aim to put contemporary design for the home and interior innovations on display for a broad general public. Now on it’s 26 edition it has been happening since 1968 with 50 years elevating design.
The Saloon Art + Design – 08/11 to 12/11
The Saloon Art + Design is an event that happens every November in New York City, that exhibits historical, modern and contemporary furniture, groundbreaking design and late 19th through 21st century art from all around the world and brings art styles from classic to Mid Century Modern.
BDNY – 11/11 to 12/11
Boutique Design New York or BDNY for short, is a trade fair and conference for hospitality design professionals, where companies from the United States, Canada and Europe showcase their products in which is focused in a selection of inventive design elements for hotel, restaurant, spa, club, cruise ship and senior lifestyle interiors
Downtown Design Dubai 13/11 to 16/11
Downtown Design Dubai is the middle-east main event of design that focus on evidencing contemporary design showcasing international brands, with, alongside of the trade show, talks and workshops that enhances the fair experience.
iSaloni Shanghai 22/11 to 24/11
Saloni del Mobile is an event that we never fail to mention, as we already covered Milan and Moscow. This event was founded in 1961 as a vehicle for promoting Italian furniture and furnishings exports, and with time became international celebrating the best in design. And now it is also in Shanghai putting design in evidence with brands from all around the world.
Design Miami 05/12 to 09/12
Design Miami not only a marketplace for design, it is an event where the world’s top design brands gather to present museum-quality exhibitions of twentieth and twenty-first century furniture. With a progressive cultural programming, panels and lectures from the world’s top emerging and established designers and architects.
