Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will give to the audience the opportunity to see different sides of the design luxury industry and craftsmanship that will be one of the main subjects under discussion, once again we will have the participation of Nicole Segundo Ambassador from the Michelangelo Foundation.
The Foundation, set up to revitalise fine craftsmanship and launch a cultural movement advancing the values embedded in this sector, works collaboratively in a variety of ways to promote, preserve and perpetuate craftsmanship at the highest levels. As its name suggests, it also bridges the worlds of design and of craftsmanship in order to ensure the future economic viability of the latter.
Nicole Segundo will be the speaker representing Michelangelo Foundation, graduated from London School of Economics (Msc in Media and Communication), Bath
University (BA in European Studies with French and Italian) and regular participant in IMD’s programs on Digital technologies. She built a solid experience in craftsmanship in the high-end Swiss watchmaking industry having worked for brands Greubel Forsey, Girard-Perregaux, Parmigiani Fleurier, Corum and Hublot in senior management, communication, sales and marketing positions in Switzerland, Australia and South East Asia.
A citizen of the world with Portuguese, South African and Swiss nationalities, Nicole has lived in several countries across 4 continents and maintains an international network of manufacturers, retailers, distributors, press and final customers enthusiastic for unique crafted objects. FirstSecond was born in 2016 from a passion for fine craftsmanship and a will to enable independent brands with strong craftsmanship further develop their business. Nicole is acting as an extended arm of the Michelangelo Foundation to pursue their mission in Portugal.
